It has always been my desire to be able to offer visitors the opportunity to discover the treasures of Ravenna by bicycle, the most environmentally friendly and safest means of transportation to move through an extremely flat land: here it is even said that the people of Ravenna learn how to ride a bicycle before they learn to walk! In fact, this comfortable and practical means of transportation is used by just about everyone, from age 3 to 90… and beyond!
Riding a snappy bike is an easy, eco-friendly and different way to get around and explore Ravenna and the whole of the Romagna region, a region on a human scale and characterized by a unique combination of features as well as a unique historical, artistic and gastronomic heritage.

Panoramic Bike Tour of Ravenna
By choosing this tour we will have the opportunity to leave the historic center of the city behind and visit together Sant’Apollinare (in Classe) as well, the second Byzantine basilica erected in honor of the first bishop and patron saint of the city of Ravenna, St. Apollinaris. The basilica is located about 6 km south of the city center. Proceeding along an easy cycle path, we will pass by the ancient Port of Classe and arrive at the basilica, where the tour will end, where, among other things, one can admire the decoration of the apse which is a depiction of the Transfiguration of Jesus on Mount Tabor.
