From the 2nd of February the Emilia-Romagna Regional Management Museums reopen their doors to the public.
Finally the cultural sites reopen after more than three months of closure. From the province of Piacenza to Romagna region, from the great cities to the hilly landscapes, you will be able to enjoy an amazing cultural heritage again. Visitors can choose from a wide range of cultural venues: from medieval castles in the Apennines, to ancient abbeys, from museums to archaeological areas, from Byzantine monuments to neoclassical historic residences. An opportunity not to be missed: from the 2nd of February you can enjoy the museums in complete safety thanks to the appropriate health provisions including quota and reservations.
The only sore point is that at the moment their reopening will take place, as indicated by the MiBACT General Museums Directorate, in the yellow regions only on weekdays from Monday to Friday, according to the methods and times reported on the websites of individual institutes.
It is however a great opportunity to be able to go out again and enjoy the beauty of these places that are so dear to us. It’s a way to refresh the spirit and lift our morale that has been severely tested during these long months of pandemic.
Monuments, like all places of art, are food for the soul, as I have always said. Culture and beauty represent essential and indispensable goods that help us face with courage and strength the many difficult challenges we are facing.
In recent months we have had the confirmation of how a museum without visitors is likely to become what the French poet Alphonse de Lamartine, in other circumstances, described as a “cemetery of the arts”: just what we must avoid.
Here you can find the list of the various institutes that will reopen to the public in the province of Ravenna, and their opening times.
For access mode and other information related to individual institutions, you can consult the website of the Regional Museums Directorate of Emilia-Romagna and its social channels.
